Honor brings midrange phone Honor 90 to Europe from 549 euros

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Honor introduces the Honor 90 for the European market. This mid-range phone contains a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 soc, a 200-megapixel camera sensor and a 5,000 mAh battery. Prices start from 549 euros.

The Honor 90 measures 161.9×74.1×7.8mm and weighs 192 grams. The device has a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2664 x 1200 pixels. The maximum refresh rate of the screen is 120Hz.

The device has three cameras on the back. The primary camera has a resolution of 200 megapixels, the ultrawide camera can take pictures with a resolution of 12 megapixels and Honor also placed a camera that has to register depth information. This camera has a 2-megapixel sensor on board. The selfie camera on the front of the device has a 12-megapixel sensor.

The smartphone has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 5G and dual SIM. A fingerprint scanner is installed under the screen and charging can be done via USB-C connection. There is no 3.5mm jack available. The smartphone runs on MagicOS 7.1. This operating system is based on Android 13. Honor promises two years of Android software updates and provides three years of bug and security fixes.

The battery of the Honor 90 has a capacity of 5,000mAh and can handle fast charging maximum 66W. The 66W fast charger is not included. Honor claims that an empty battery can charge 20 percent in five minutes . The battery of the smartphone cannot charge wirelessly.

The Honor 90 is available in two variants in Europe. A variant has 8GB of ram memory and 256GB of storage space and costs 549.00 euros. A second variant comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space and costs 599 euros. In some European countries, such as Spain, both versions of the smartphone are for sale. In other countries, such as Germany, only the most expensive variant is for sale. Honor does not have a Dutch or Belgian webshop.
