Ubisoft appears to have started removing racing game The Crew from users’ libraries. Several players report online that they can no longer play the game via Ubisoft’s own game launcher, after the company decided to take the servers offline last year.
Several users at X en at Reddit note that they no longer have access to the online racing game The Crew. Not only can it no longer be downloaded, but it can no longer be played at all.
It is not yet clear what exactly happened, but Ubisoft has probably started closing the game. This is the first release of the game. The Crew 1 was released in 2014. However, Ubisoft announced at the end of last year that it would shut down the servers behind the game. That happened on March 31. Since The Crew was only playable online, its impact is less significant, but players are still not happy. For the time being, Ubisoft appears to no longer offer the game via its own Connect launcher. It is also not clear whether this applies to every user, or whether the discontinuation will take place in phases.
