The first episode of The Expanse: A Telltale Series will be released on July 27

The first episode of the narrative adventure game The Expanse: A Telltale Series will be available on July 27. There are five episodes in total, which should become available every other week. The game is a prequel to the TV series.

The game takes place before the six-season sci-fi TV series on Amazon Prime. Players control Camina Drummer, who is played by Cara Gee as in the series. In the game, she is “looking for a mysterious treasure at the edges of The Belt,” is writing the developer. As with other Telltale games, players can make choices that affect the course of the story. The developer claims that the decisions of the player will determine the fate of the Artemis crew and that the game will have “the largest” explorable world of any Telltale game.

The Expanse: A Telltale Series will be released for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC via the Epic Games Store. The game has a standard edition for 40 euros and a ‘Deluxe’ edition for 45 euros. The latter contains DLC that has not yet been announced and allows users to play a day early.

Telltale Games closed its doors in 2018 ‘after a year of insurmountable challenges’, but made a restart in the following year. Since then, the studio released Batman: Shadows Edition. In addition to The Expanse game the company is also working on The Wolf Among Us 2, due for release next year.
