Lockbit puts stolen data of North Brabant healthcare provider online

Ransomware group Lockbit has stolen and published data from healthcare institution Joris Zorg. It is said to be 100GB of data, but at the moment it is not yet clear what data is available.

Joris Zorg does know to report that it concerns data of both employees and clients. The burglary is said to have taken place in December last year and since earlier this week the data has been on Lockbit’s dark web address. Joris Zorg has five locations in North Brabant and provides care for the elderly and vulnerable. The institution has informed the Dutch Data Protection Authority and the police.

Lockbit was also behind the ransomware attack on the KNVB. On Thursday it turned out that the data about that attack have been removed from the Lockbit site. This may indicate that the football association has paid or is negotiating, although there is no concrete evidence for this.
