AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE is now also sold separately in Europe

The AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE is now also sold separately in some European web shops. The card is available in a Spanish webshop for 720 euros, which is 180 euros cheaper than the introductory price of the 7900 XT. Previously, the GRE was only available in pre-built PCs in Europe.

The AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE with 16GB memory was made available separately to Chinese consumers in July, but the card was not intended for direct sales in the rest of the world. Only OEM system builders were allowed to purchase the card in the West, for use in pre-built PCs. Videocardz now writes that this restriction has been lifted. Since then, the card may also be sold in bundles with, for example, motherboards and power supplies, or as a standalone product.

The site discovered the card in Spanish and Romanian web shops, where it is available for 719.90 euros and 719.90 euros respectively. the equivalent of 744.33 euros is offered. The GPU had a suggested retail price of $649 in July. Converted with VAT, this is 742.34 euros. For comparison, the RX 7900 XT has an introductory price of $899; the 7900 XTX had a suggested retail price of $999 upon release. The 7900 GRE is not yet available in Dutch and Belgian online stores.

The RX 7900 GRE has a Navi 31 GPU, just like the 7900 XT and XTX. The card also has 80 compute units, for a total of 5120 streaming processors. The RX 7900 XT has 84 CUs and the XTX has 96. The GRE also has one less memory cache chiplet than the RX 7900 XT. As a result, the RX 7900 GRE has a smaller memory bus of 256 bit and a total of 64MB Infinity Cache. The boost clock of the RX 7900 GRE is also lower, as is the TDP.
