Kevan Parekh becomes Apple’s new CFO

Apple has announced that CFO Luca Maestri will leave his current position on January 1, 2025. Kevan Parekh, currently vice president of financial planning and analysis at Apple, has been appointed as successor.

Parekh has been with the company for eleven years. In his current role at Apple, he is responsible for investor relations and market research in addition to financial planning and analysis. Parekh brings a technical background. He has a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago. His experience includes leadership roles at Thomson Reuters and General Motors.

It is not known why Maestri is resigning from his position. He will remain involved with the company following his resignation and according to Apple take charge of the Corporate Services teams. In this new role he also reports directly to CEO Tim Cook.
